Event Architecture Grabs Attention at This Year’s EXHIBITORLIVE

Author

With our focus on portable, modular architectural structures that are perfect for indoor and outdoor events, trade shows, and festivals, we were ready to make our mark at the 2018 EXHIBITORLIVE conference.

Held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, on February 25 through March 1, this annual conference was attended by more than 5,000 trade show and corporate event professionals.

Our goal at EXHIBITORLIVE was to highlight how important it is to stand out from the crowd.

That’s why we partnered with Exhibitor Media Group to create the eye-catching “ExhibitorLIVE Meeting Point Lounge.” This environment was situated on the exhibition hall floor and allowed attendees to get away from the buzz of the show floor and quietly network together or kick back and take a break as needed. It was important that this display be easily seen, so attendees could find it quickly when they needed it.

We created the ExhibitorLIVE Meeting Point Lounge by combining two structures that work perfectly together: an XPO and an xDek.

The XPO is a portable structure that features a double layer of coated fabric, pressurized to create tension. It’s a striking, modern design (that’s also completely secure since its braced by sturdy, aluminum supports). The xDek, which fits neatly over the XPO, is a freestanding deck with a rooftop terrace. Originally conceived for outdoor use, the xDek has found a new purpose by adding a level of fun and whimsy to indoor displays. For example, with the ExhibitorLIVE Meeting Point Lounge, the xDek created an unexpected second story and became an island of calm overlooking the hectic show floor.

In fact, the entire line of units are ideal for live events because they work equally well indoors and outdoors, and their unique look makes them stand out from the crowd.

“EXHIBITORLIVE is one of the most important exhibitions for our industry, and this is the first-time we’ve brought units to the event,” said Tim Bookout, Director of Sales at Event Architecture. “We’re excited to raise awareness about Event Architecture as well as the ways brands can use the line at indoor and outdoor events, trade shows, festivals, and brand activations.”

Another element that Event Architecture displayed was the ability to creatively brand their displays. For example, the XPO included custom fabric graphics on the interior and exterior walls and vinyl graphics decorating the unit’s Plexiglas doors and windows. The xDek had a large fabric graphic that extended two stories to the floor and a large ExhibitorLIVE sign gracing the railing.

“Branding is an essential design consideration for today’s live environments. What’s nice about Event Architecture’s structures is that it’s easy to customize the structures with fabric wraps and other graphics, which is evidenced in the design we created for the Meeting Point Lounge,” said Bookout.

Event Architecture also has other products available, which were showcased at EXHIBITORLIVE as 3D models. Some of the offerings include the XPODH (which increases the open feel of the XPO by adding twice the height), the Yum Yum (an 8×8-foot pod designed as the ideal pop-up, perfect for selling food and merchandise through a hinge-up serving window), and the Snoozy (which delivers a unique sleeping experience by creating a mobile hotel room complete with electricity and air conditioning).

To complement these mobile buildings, Event Architecture also displayed a starter kit for its innovative Smart Chairs. Smart Chairs are an inflatable seating option designed with ergonomics and comfort in mind. You wouldn’t think that something this convenient could be so comfortable and easy to maintain. Red wine, mud, snow, or goopy, cheesy fondue – it’s not a problem. Unlike fabric holstered chairs, these worry-free Smart Chairs repel the elements and food and beverage spills, making cleanup a piece of cake.

The chairs are also lightweight and convenient. Each chair weighs only 8.8 pounds, and, using an air compressor, Smart Chairs inflate in less than 60 seconds to an assembled size of 32” x 31” x 28”. Then, once deflated, up to four chairs can be packed into a stackable crate that is easy and inexpensive to ship and store.

In fact, that is exactly what the starter kit offers: four chairs, one air pump, the crate, and a cloth to ensure your chairs remain immaculate.

All of the sleek, modern products we had on display will make your company stand out from the crowd, whether you are on a show floor or competing against the backdrop of nature.
